Edip (Easy Digital Imaging Processing)

Introduction

Edip (Easy Digital Imaging Processing) is an easy to use image effects processing program,

with which you can simply apply effects to your image by simply selecting the wanted effect in the lists,

located on the right sidebar, where you will find the color intensity adjusments,

and the lightness, hue, saturation, brightness adjusments too,

by clicking on the apply button.

Edip provide additionally draw onto image functionalities as fully configurable effects and images files merging algorithms.

Supported image filetypes:

Edip support following images files formats to load into the program for processing:

NOTE: The image file is loaded into the program and converted into RGB, (internally BGR) format or RGBA (internally BGRA) if an alpha channel is available in the image.


Basic edition functionalities:

Edip provide some basic image edition functionalities:

  • Rotating
  • 90° to the left.
  • 90° to the right.
  • Zooming
  • On the center.
  • On a selected point.
  • Mirroring
  • Copying the left side from the image onto the right side of the image - mirror likewise.
  • Copying the right side from the image onto the left side of the image - mirror likewise.
  • Copying the upper side from the image onto the bottom side of the image - mirror likewise.
  • Copying the bottom side from the image onto the upper side of the image - mirror likewise.
  • Flipping
  • From left to right.
  • From right to left.
  • From top to bottom.
  • From bottom to top.

In the same way Edip provide grayscaling and colorscaling algorithms for each following listed color:

You can select the wanted algorithm which define on which base the image will be colorscaled:

Average

The average from the Red, Green, and Blue color channels.

Maximal

The maximal value from the Red, Green, and Blue color channels.

Minimal

The minimal value from the Red, Green, and Blue color channels.

Red

The Red color channel value.

Green

The Green color channel value.

Blue

The Blue color channel value.

Drawing functionalities:

Edip provide drawing functionalities as text inserting onto your image.


Advanced free configurable filters:


Kernel filters

You can set the kernel size as the kernel type (square, diamond, cross, X) and some others settings in relationship to the kernel type.

Morphological filters

You can configure the structuring element (kernel) size, type and center value (weight).

And you can choose the morphological operation to apply on your image.

Canny filter

The Canny filter is a simple contours extracting filter for which you can set the low and the high threshold, producing a binary image.

NOTE: Sea the documentation for a description of the Canny operator and for the definition of a binary image.


Color contours filters

This is the same as the Canny filter except that you can set the foreground and background colors.


Multiply Colors

You can multiply each color channel per a given factor, even the alpha channel if one.


Multiply global intensity

You can mulitply all channels per a given factor at the same time.


Set image in color tone

You can select a color to set the entire image in this color tone. By computing mean values for every channel and the account from the choosen color.


Image files merging algorithms

Additionnaly Edip provide algorithms to mix 2 input images producing an resulting ouput image according or not to some settings.
